How long does veneers last?

If the veneer is made of plastic, it can discolor over a shorter or longer period due to the microporous structure of the plastic. If you get the veneer in porcelain, you can avoid this discoloration.

For both plastic and porcelain veneers:

  • In the case of a plastic veneers, it can be discolored due to its microporous structure.
  • With porcelain, discoloration is avoided.
For both plastic and porcelain veneers, the following applies:
  • With a good amount of tooth substance, the durability increases, as the bonding between tooth and veneer is stronger.
With less tooth substance, the durability decreases as the bonding is weaker.
  • If you are clenching or grinding teeth, the durability decreases
  • During and after the treatment, we recommend sleeping with a night guard.
  • If your veneers becomes loose, call immediately.
